Honestly, I've always been more of a "dog-person" than a "cat-person;" however, this one cat might have been enough for a change of heart for me. Her name is Boo and she's one of the sweetest cats I've ever met. I actually bought her as a Christmas present for my boyfriend after he had mentioned wanting a kitty for several months, and now lives in his house.
She's really quite a small cat, and definitely not the brightest kitty either, but she definitely makes up for that in her personality. Boo is incredibly sweet and gets pretty attached to "her humans." Usually, she'll follow you around or make an appearance if you call for her. Although she has a wonderful personality, she still gets into trouble occasionally--biting on various items that she knows she's not supposed to including my fingers, various cables, and even hoodies. Sometimes she'll get put in the laundry room after doing something wrong (and sticks her paw out from under the door) or she'll just get a small scolding (both of which are quite heartbreaking to me). Overall, she's quite carefree and enjoys chasing her tail around or her favorite playthings. However, unlike all other cats, do not pet her on her tummy; she absolutely despises it and will freak out on you.
Boo has definitely changed my opinion on cats and never fails to warm my heart. Sorry for the obnoxious quantity of pictures here.
